Edward Lee Hendricks

 

BORN:

1952 Charleston, West Virginia

EDUCATION:

M.F.A., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, North Carolina, 1976
B.F.A., Birmingham-Southern College, Birmingham, Alabama, 1974

FELLOWSHIP:

National Endowment for the Arts/Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art Artist's Fellowship, 1982

 

After receiving his M.F.A. in 1976 Edward Lee Hendricks began working as a sculptor. Over the past thirty years he has had over forty one person exhibitions at galleries and museums across the U.S., including five one person exhibitions in New York at the Alexander F. Milliken and Louis K. Meisel Galleries. His work is in the collections of eight museums and over 25 corporations and government agencies. He currently lives and works in a 10,000 sq. ft. studio/residence compound in Houston, Texas.
